Update on SE Summer Crime Initiative from 8/8 thru 8/15:

The Southeast Patrol Division started its summer crime initiative on June 4, 2018.  Their goal is to target specific areas in southeast Dallas that has shown an increase in criminal activity.  During the week of August 8th to August 15th, 2018, the following activity was recorded:

Activity:

  • Calls for service: 37 
  • 2 Arrest Criminal Trespass – 5400 N. Jim Miller Road and APOWW – 8022 Rothington Road
  • Business checks: 9

 

Update on SE Summer Crime Initiative from 8/1 thru 8/8:

The Southeast Patrol Division started its summer crime initiative on June 4, 2018.  Their goal is to target specific areas in southeast Dallas that has shown an increase in criminal activity.  During the week of July 26th to August 8th, 2018, the following activity was recorded:

Activity:

  • Calls for service: 35 
  • 4 Arrest 7400 Samuell Boulevard – Hold for Texas Department of Criminal Justice/ 6200 Everglade- APPOW/ 2600 Hillburn – UUMV/ 2600 Hillburn – Theft and Evading Arrest
  • Pedestrian stops: 12
  • Traffic stops: 13 
  • Business checks: 28

The Southeast Patrol Division started its summer crime initiative on June 4, 2018.  Their goal is to target specific areas in southeast Dallas that has shown an increase in criminal activity.  During the week of July 17th to July 25th, 2018, the following activity was recorded:

Activity:

  • Calls for service: 66
  • Arrests for warrants: 2  – 1 warrant ran in the 8000 block of Chariot – 35 kilos of methamphetamine seized 
  • 1 Arrest 7700 Samuell Boulevard – Hold for Texas Department of Criminal Justice
  • Pedestrian stops: 18
  • Traffic stops: 20 
  • Business checks: 43

Update on SE Summer Crime Initiative from 7/9 thru 7/17:

The Southeast Patrol Division started its summer crime initiative on June 4, 2018.  Their goal is to target specific areas in southeast Dallas that has shown an increase in criminal activity.  During the week of July 9th to July 17th, 2018, the following activity was recorded:

Activity:

  • Calls for service: 86
  • Arrests for warrants: 2  – 1 Hold for Grand Prairie PD and 1 Hold for Dallas Sheriffs Office 
  • Pedestrian stops: 22
  • Traffic stops: 38 
  • Business checks: 26 
  • Citations Issued: 9

The Southeast Patrol Division started its summer crime initiative on June 4, 2018.  Their goal is to target specific areas in southeast Dallas that has shown an increase in criminal activity.  During the week of July 1st to July 10th, 2018, the following activity was recorded:

  • 7 Arrests – Assault F/V Strangulation/interference with 911; Possession of Meth;  and Public Intoxication

The Southeast Patrol Division started its summer crime initiative on June 4, 2018.  Their goal is to target specific areas in southeast Dallas that has shown an increase in criminal activity.  During the week of June 20th to June 27, 2018, the following activity was recorded:

Activity: 

  • Calls for service: 60
  • Traffic and Pedestrian Stops: 30
  • 2 Arrests (Assault F/V and Possession of Marijuana)

Updated on SE Summer Crime Initiative from 6/13 thru 6/19:

The Southeast Patrol Division started its summer crime initiative on June 4, 2018.  Their goal is to target specific areas in southeast Dallas that has shown an increase in criminal activity.  During the week of June 13th to June 19, 2018, the following activity was recorded:

Activity: 

  • Calls for service: 35
  • Traffic and Pedestrian Stops: 23
  • Citations issued: 49

The following is the result from a search warrant executed on Bluffcreek Avenue:

  • 2 Arrest
  • 9.3 grams of Marijuana seized
  • 15.5 grams of Cocaine Rock seized
  • 6.7 grams of Cocaine melted
  • $31,161.00 cash seized

Original Post 6/13/2018:

In order to address concerns from the community, members of the Southeast Patrol Division started its summer crime initiative by targeting specifics areas in southeast Dallas that has shown an increase in offenses.  From June 4 through August 6, 2018, this operation will utilize various Departmental resources to prevent and deter the commission of violent offenses, with an emphasis on reducing murders, non-family violence aggravated assaults, individual and business robberies, as well as deterring narcotics activity and gang violence within the specified area below.  

For the duration of this initiative, the community will see an increased officer presence in the targeted area, with increased enforcement action when applicable.  The effectiveness of this operational plan will be measured by the resulting decrease in the number of violent offenses committed. A daily review will be used to determine the efficiency of the resources and/or need for change in tactics.  Below is the enforcement activity for the week of June 4th to June 12th.
