Ernesto Carrillo-Hernandez, the suspect in the murder of Martha Alva has been arrested near the border of Mexico. There is no additional information to report at this time.

Through the course of the investigation, it has been determined that Ernesto Carrillo-Hernandez, a Latin male 32-years-old, is responsible for the death of Martha Alva. On September 18, 2018, detectives obtained a murder warrant for Carrillo-Hernandez who remains at-large. On September 16, 2018, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Dallas Police responded to 2000 Walnut Hill Lane, regarding a dead body. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Martha Alva, a 35-year-old Latin female, deceased due to homicidal violence. The Dallas Police Department Homicide Unit responded to the location, along with the Dallas County Medical Examiner.
