On November 1, 2018, Sergeant Stephen Williams, #8849, was awarded November’s Officer of the Month by the Dallas Community Police Awards Committee. Sergeant Williams received the award during a luncheon at the Salesmanship Club (Momentous Institute) located at 106 E. Tenth Street, Dallas Texas.
Sergeant Stephen Williams is a 12-year veteran of the Department and is currently assigned to the Internal Affairs Division/DVR Team. He has received over 40 commendations and awards for his outstanding work.
In a letter to the Meritorious Conduct Board, Lieutenant Alejandro Coss, who nominated Sergeant Williams, had this to say, “Sergeant Stephen Williams is the supervisor over the Body Worn Camera and the Digital Video Recorder Unit. He is the Dallas Police Department’s subject matter expert in all things related to video. Stephen responds during all hours of the night to any critical incident where video evidence is relevant. For over two years, Stephen’s role has been “mission critical” to the success of the Dallas Police Department. His complete dedication to duty reflects great credit upon himself.”
This is just a few examples of Sergeant Stephen Williams’s skills and aspirations to go above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you, Sergeant Stephen Williams, for your extreme dedication, hard work and professionalism that has brought great credit to yourself and the Dallas Police Department.
