Victim – Jimar Nichols

On November 15, 2018, at  9:20 p.m., Anthony Rider, a 33-year-old black male, was arrested by officers of the Dallas Police Department and Mesquite Police Department at 423 Running Brook Lane in Mesquite, Texas for the murder of Jimar Nichols on November 11, 2018. Anthony Rider was transported to Dallas Police Headquarters, where he was interviewed by a homicide detective and admitted to killing Jimar Nichols. He was subsequently transported to Lew Sterrett Jail and has been charged with murder, a first-degree felony. His bond will be set by a Dallas County magistrate.

The Dallas Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a homicide that occurred on Lewiston Avenue.  On November 11, 2018, at approximately 5:42 p.m., the victim, Jimar Demarkus Nichols, Black male 26-years-old, was shot in the 2000 Lewiston Avenue.  He was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.  Anyone with information regarding this offense is encouraged to contact Homicide Detective Frank Serra at 214-671-4320 or frank.serra@dallascityhall.com.  Please refer to Case Number 245003-2018.
