Detectives Seeks Help in Homicide Investigation – 500 block of Woodacre Drive

Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that Jason Young, a Black male 36-years-old is responsible for the victims death.  Young, who was in jail on unrelated charges, was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak with detectives.  During the interview, he described his role in this offense.  As a result of his interview, Young has also been charged with capital murder and remains in the Dallas County Jail.

On Friday, November 23, 2018, at approximately 7:21 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call in the 500 block of  Woodacre Drive.  Upon arrival, officers found the victim, Michael Deshawn Daniels a 40-year old Black male, lying on the porch with a gunshot wound.  Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and transported the victim to an area hospital where he died of his injuries.  Homicide detectives canvassed the neighborhood and interviewed several witnesses.
