On December 20, 2018, suspect Trayshawn Hall was arrested for his outstanding warrant and interviewed by detectives at Dallas Police Headquarters. He was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak with detectives before terminating the interview. Hall was subsequently arrested for manslaughter and transported to the Dallas County Jail.

Through the course of the investigation, it has been determined that on November 2, 2018, at approximately 9:26 p.m., Trayshawn Hall, a Black male 22-years-old struck the victim, Damarcus Rashon Miller with his hands while in the 400 block of N. Lamar Street. The victim fell to the ground unconscious and was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Suspect Hall has an active manslaughter warrant and is currently not in custody. If anyone has information regarding his whereabouts, they are encouraged to contact Detective C. On Friday, November 2, 2018, at approximately 9:26 p.m., Dallas police responded to a major disturbance with an ambulance call at 407 N. Lamar Street. Upon arrival, an unconscious Black male was found lying on the sidewalk just in front of the McDonald’s restaurant. During the assault, the victim hit his head on the pavement street after being punched by a Black male. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and transported the victim to an area hospital where he died of his injury.
