During this investigation, it has been determined by Homicide Detectives that Deaaron Wheaton, a 21-year old Black male, was responsible for the murder of the victim, Billie James Glass. With the public assistance, Deaaron Wheaton was arrested and transported to the Dallas County Jail. He has been charged with Murder, a Felony One.

The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance regarding the homicide offense that occurred at 3530 Sunnyvale Street.

On Thursday, January 10, 2019, at approximately 8:42 p.m., officers responded to a call for police regarding shooting at 3530 Sunnyvale Street.  Upon arrival, officers found the victim Billie James Glass, a 56-year old Black male, lying on the ground next to a parked vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds.  Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and transported Mr. Glass to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. Detectives are attempting to identify the two individuals pictured in the posted photo concerning this offense.
