Vehicle Crimes Detectives Ask for Public’s Assistance to Identify Persons of Interest

On January 07, 2019, at approximately 10:28 p.m., the driver of a black Jeep Grand Cherokee with Texas license plates, LFV-4431, was traveling at a high rate of speed through the intersection of St. Augustine Road and Elam Road, before losing control and striking a black Nissan Pathfinder head-on.

The driver of the black Nissan Pathfinder suffered life threatening injuries during the crash.  There were four occupants of the black Jeep Grand Cherokee including a Latin female victim and three Latin male suspects.  The female victim was also severely injured during the crash.  The male occupants abandoned the female victim at the crash scene and fled the location. Witnesses at the scene stated that one of the males appeared to be injured as he fled the location with a broken arm or a broken leg. Both severely injured victims in this crash were left at the scene by the males who failed to provide aid or contact 911 in order to help the victims. Each victim was transported to a local hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue in critical condition.

One of the male occupants has been identified as Jesus Osorio (photo attached). Detectives have evidence that Jesus called, Lesly Serna (photo attached), immediately after the accident and it is believed Lesly picked up Jesus and the other two unidentified males in a grey BMW 4 door with Texas license plate KCT-4702.

Anyone with information regarding the male suspects or the female who picked up the suspects  is encouraged to contact Vehicle Crimes Unit Detective K. Land, #8283, at 214-671-0020 or via email: kyle.land@dallascityhall.com Please refer to Case Number 004791-2019.
