On January 19, 2019, at approximately 6:18 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at 6004 Samuell Blvd.  The victim, Damarcus Beal, a Black male 26-years-old was shot and killed by Arnulfo Canizales, a White male 33-years-old.   The victim was shot as he walked toward Canizales’ vehicle.  After the shooting, Canizales drove away from the scene and waited for police before being be transported to Dallas Police Headquarters.  He was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak with detectives.  After being interviewed and reviewing the evidence, Canizales was arrested and charged with murder.  He was placed in the Dallas County Jail.
