In line with Chief Hall’s vision of advancing 21st Century Policing efforts, the Dallas Police Department Office of Community Affairs is kicking off 2019 with a new community engagement initiative: “Listening Tours.” These Listening Tours will be held four times this year in the following divisions:
February 5th in Central Patrol Bureau
Location: North Dallas High School
May 7th in West Patrol Bureau (covering Northwest & North Central Division)
Location: TBD
August 6th in East Patrol Bureau (covering Northeast & Southeast Division)
Location: TBD
November 5th in South Patrol Bureau (covering Southwest & South Central Division)
Location: TBD
Our Listening Tour allows us to hear questions and concerns directly from community members, and it allows us to gather information on those concerns specific to that community. The Listening Tour is our way of making time and creating space to hear from the residents we serve each day. They also allow us to gain insight and collect data on how we can be effective in our community outreach and engagement efforts. If you have questions, concerns or suggestions, representatives from the Dallas Police Department, Dallas ISD Police Department, North Dallas High School Faculty, DART Police Department, and Code Enforcement will be available onsite.
Our first Listening Tour will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at North Dallas High School located at 3120 N Haskell Ave Dallas, Texas 75204.
