Chaplain Appreciation Ceremony

On February 5, 2019, at approximately 9:30 a.m., members of the Dallas Police Department hosted an Appreciation Ceremony in honor of the Dallas Police Chaplains.   Applause saturated the room from wall to wall throughout the ceremony, which was held inside the Donald A. Stafford Media Conference Room at Dallas Police Headquarters.

The Dallas Police Chaplains have faithfully and selflessly served the Dallas Police Department and the community.   In addition to their unwavering presence during major incidents such as the shooting at headquarters in June 2015 and the infamous attack on July 7, 2016, the chaplains were also recognized for the prayers they covered officers and their families during personal matters.

The Dallas Police Department honors the men and woman who serve the Lord first, and stand on the thin blue line with Dallas police officers.  Thank you chaplains for your unwavering support, commitment, and service to others.
