This afternoon, Senior Corporal Paul Farr, #8102 was honored as the March 2019 Officer of the Month by the Dallas Community Police Awards Committee (DCPAC). There was an honorary luncheon ceremony for Sr. Clp. Paul Farr that was hosted by the Doubletree Hotel located at 3300 W. Mockingbird Lane.
Senior Corporal Paul Farr has been a member of the Dallas Police Department since September 28, 2001. He is currently assigned to the Personnel and Support Bureau as the Military Liaison Officer and he has served in several other assignments throughout his career.
On October 16, 2019 an unprecedented ceremony was held at Jack Evans Police Headquarters to honor Dallas Police Department sworn officers who are members of the Texas National Guard and were called to duty in August 2017 to assist citizens who lived in areas affected by Hurricane Harvey. Senior Corporal Farr was personally responsible for the success of this ceremony. He worked tirelessly in organizing this event and was able to secure the attendance of Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Adjutant General John Nichols. Their attendance was an incredible honor to not only the recipients of the awards that were given, but to the entire Dallas Police Department. Each award recipient was presented with a Certificate of Civic Achievement by the Dallas Police Department a Proclamation of Recognition by Governor Abbott on behalf of the citizens of the State of Texas for their service after Hurricane Harvey.
Cynthia Schoelen (Manager III), who nominated Senior Corporal Farr, had this to say, “Senior Corporal Farr’s dedication to his fellow officers and civilians who are veterans of the armed forces is most evident in the accomplishments that he has achieved on their behalf since his assignment to the liaison position. His achievements in advancing this program for the Department are above and beyond what was expected, and he is a true asset to the Department.”
Thank you, Senior Corporal Farr, for your hard work and dedication that awarded you March’s Officer of the month. We are proud of you!!!
