On March 17, 2019, the Dallas Stars honored First Responders at their game against the Vancouver Canucks. Senior Corporal Curtis Steger and his partner Django had the honor of dropping the puck for the start of the game.

The Dallas Stars Foundation and the Dallas Police Department worked together in making a 2019 Calendar that featured Stars players, the Canine Officers, and their partners. The calendar was sold Online and the Dallas Stars Foundation raised over $13,000 for the Canine Unit.
