Update: April 8, 2019

Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that Royneco Harris, a Black male 39-years-old, was responsible for the death of Cliffton Norton and injuries to Norton’s juvenile son.  Harris has been arrested and placed in jail for murder and aggravated assault.  His bond has been set at $250,000.00.

On March 31, 2019, at approximately 10:58 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting at 4607 Wahoo Street.  The victims, Cliffton Norton, a Black male 33-years-old and a juvenile Black male 8-years-old, were shot inside a vehicle.  Mr. Norton was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.  The juvenile victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Detective Walton, #8479 at 214-671-3632 or christopher.walton@dallascityhall.com.  Please refer to case #063846-2019.
