Homicide at 722 N. Marsalis Avenue

Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to determine that Dorian Markal Killebrew, a 19-year-old Black male was responsible for the victim’s death.  On December 17, 2019, Suspect Killebrew was arrested and transported to the Dallas Police Headquarters.  After being read his Miranda Warning, he agreed to speak with detectives.  During the interview, Suspect Killebrew admitted his role in the murder.  He was placed in jail for murder.  His bond was set at $250,000.00.

On April 17, 2019, at approximately 4:35 a.m., Dallas police responded to a call regarding a disturbance active shooter.  Upon their arrival, witnesses directed officers to 722 N. Marsalis Avenue.  They discovered the victim, Christopher Franklin, a Black male 37-years-old deceased from multiple gunshot wounds inside an apartment.  Anyone with information regarding this offense is encouraged to contact Detective Chaney, #7830 at (214) 671-3650 or derick.chaney@dallascityhall.com.  Please refer to case #75821-2019
