Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify suspect Olajuwon Brown, a Black male 18-years-old, as one of the suspects involved in the murder of victim Brandon Small. Video evidence collected shows Brown fleeing the location holding a pistol. Once identified, he agreed to a voluntary interview at Dallas Police Headquarters where he waived his Miranda rights and gave a voluntary statement. Brown was subsequently arrested for murder and placed in jail. His bond will be set by the magistrate.

On April 20, 2019, at 9:10 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at 9839 Glengreen Drive. Upon arrival, they found the victim Brandon Small, a Black male 28-years-old, deceased from a gunshot wound. Another victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Witnesses reported 3-4 Black males flee the location immediately after the shooting and enter a tan colored 4-door sedan.
