On April 24, 2019, at approximately 12:35 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a call for service regarding a shooting at 6271 Highland Hills Drive. Upon arrival, they located the victim, Raymond Dupree, a 28-year-old black male, with gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. Witnesses at the scene reported that the suspect was a black male and fled the location in a green Mercury Grand Marquis.
