Update: June 20, 2019 @ 9:05 p.m.

On June 1, 2019, Dallas police officers responded to a call regarding a body being found in White Rock Lake.  The Dallas County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Chynal Lindsey, and ruled her death by homicidal violence.  After a thorough investigation, evidence led detectives to Ruben Alvarado, Latin male 22 years old. 

Suspect Alvarado was arrested and brought to Dallas Police Headquarters for questioning. At this point, Arrestee Alvarado refused any further engagement with detectives.  

Arrestee Alvarado was transported to the Dallas County Jail where he is being charged with Murder, a First Degree Felony.

On June 1, 2019 at approximately 5:32 P.M. Dallas Police responded to a call regarding the body of an unknown transgender female found in White Rock Lake at 4100 W. Lawther Dr. The body was identified as Jason Haslett aka Chynal Lindsey. Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that the victim died as a result of homicidal violence.
