MADD North Texas Honors DPD Officers

Today, June 5, 2019,  Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) – North Texas honored officers from around the DFW metroplex during a luncheon at the Omni Hotel Park West. The Dallas Police Department DWI Unit had two officers who were a part of the honorees.  All of the officers were honored for their dedication and commitment in making DWI Enforcement a priority everyday. 

 

Senior Corporal Scott Reinert was awarded the Enforcement Hero Award. Senior Corporal Reinert is a 29 year veteran of the Dallas Police Department and has made thousands of DWI arrests throughout his career.  He is a certified Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFST) instructor who has taught hundreds of Dallas Police recruits at the Dallas Police Academy.  Officer Reinert has made over 250 DWI arrests in 2018.

 

Senior Corporal Scott Reinert

Senior Corporal Jeremy Smith is a 12 year veteran of the Dallas Police Department.  Since joining the DWI Squad, Senior Corporal Smith has made over 230 DWI arrests. He has completed the Drug Recognition Course and SFST Instructor Course.  He is also a Field Training Officer and has trained hundreds of recruits at the Dallas Police Academy. Senior Corporal Smith is a dedicated and dependable officer.
