June’s Officer of the Month- Detective Ronald Kramer

On June 12, 2019, Detective Ronald Kramer, #7967, was awarded June’s Officer of the Month by the Dallas Community Police Awards Committee.  A luncheon ceremony was held in his honor at the Scottish Rite Hospital located at 2222 Welborn St., Dallas, TX.

Detective Ronald Kramer is an 18-year veteran of the Department and is currently assigned to the Southeast Investigative Unit. Detective Ronald Kramer spends his days conducting follow-up investigation calls, compiling evidence, preparing cases for filing in court, and responds to scenes at the request of patrol officers. Detective Kramer has recovered $185,725 in stolen property in 2017 and over $100,897 in property stolen for 2018.

Detective Ronald Kramer is also a leader in the community he serves by volunteering his time and ensures that even while off-duty that the city of Dallas is taken care off. Detective Kramer is a softball coach and competes as a softball player for the Dallas Police Department league, and Texas Police Olympics while also coaching Little League baseball. He has earned over 97 internal and external commendations for his actions.

Sergeant Daniel Cordero, #7445, who nominated Detective Ronald Kramer, stated, “Detective Kramer is an asset to the unit and is the go to detective when officers have questions pertaining to property crimes. He goes above and beyond when investigating cases which lead to multiple offenses being cleared and a large sum of property being recovered.”
