On July 22, 2019, at about 2:51 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call at 5505 Plum Grove Lane. The victim was found with a gunshot wound and transported to Methodist Central Hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue. The victim, Michael Mires, a Black male/31 was pronounced deceased several hours later.

The suspect, Gary Lenard Shaw, Black male/38 was identified as the person who shot and killed the victim. Shaw is 5’09” and weighs 190 lbs. There is an active murder warrant for the Mr. Shaw, who is pictured to the left.
