The deceased suspect in the Officer Involved Shooting has been identified as Jamal Muhammad, Black male 42 years old.

On July 27, 2019, at about 10:09 p.m., Dallas officers were flagged down by a citizen in the 1900 block of E. Camp Wisdom Road regarding a male waiving a gun in the intersection of S. Lancaster and E. Camp Wisdom Road. The officers responded to the location.  As the officers arrived, the suspect fired his weapon.  Responding officers returned fire striking the suspect. The suspect was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. There were no officers injured during  this incident.  This investigation is documented on case number 151838-2019.
