Police Officer, Yvette Gonzales (#9819), known for devoting many weekends to helping youth in Dallas, was honored as Officer of the Month for September. Gonzales’ supervisor says she is kind, friendly, helpful, and inspirational to many of her peers.
“She helps mentor rookie officers every chance she gets,” said Sergeant Shannon Smith. “She is the type of officer any supervisor would want to work for them.”
A dinner was held in Gonzales’ honor on September 10th. It was sponsored by members of East Dallas and Alexander C. Garrett Masonic Lodges.
Gonzales works out of the Northeast Patrol Division. She’s been there for a number of years. The Police Athletic League recognized her devotion and loyalty to the community she serves and felt that she was deserving of the recognition.
Gonzales takes a personal interest in each student she encounters, hoping to make a difference in their lives.
