Don’t Forget, the DPD K9 Chief on the Beat is Tomorrow!

Our upcoming K9 “Chief on the Beat” is happening tomorrow, September 14th from 10:00am – 1:00pm at Reverchon Park and Recreation Center (3505 Maple Ave). This free event will be a great time for families to bring out their furry, four-legged friends. The day will get started with a few remarks from our Chief of Police U. Reneé Hall and Deputy Chief Thomas Castro.

Our Office of Community Affairs team has been hard at work over the past few months alongside our K9 Unit to plan this fun community engagement event. There will be a dog costume contest with prizes for dogs of all sizes. Be sure to dress up your pet and sign up for the dog costume contest (which will be onsite, at the event). There’s also a special best owner/dog combo for the participant that works to match their canine companion.

During this Saturday’s K9 “Chief on the Beat” we’ll also have demonstrations from Senior Corporal Millard with her partner K9 Officer Yoll and the Dallas Disc Dogs. Join us for this free family-friendly event and participate in the day’s festivities.
