The Dallas Fugitive Unit was following up on information regarding a murder suspect at a location in the 1400 block of N. O’Conner Boulevard, Irving. After conducting a surveillance of the location, officers were able to obtain a warrant. With the assistance of the Irving Police Department’s SWAT Unit, officers were able to apprehend the 16-year-old juvenile suspect and charge him with Aggravated Assault and Murder.

The Dallas Fugitive Unit was following up on information regarding a murder suspect at a location in the 1400 block of N. O’Conner Boulevard, Irving. After conducting a surveillance of the location, officers were able to obtain a warrant. With the assistance of the Irving Police Department’s SWAT Unit, officers were able to apprehend the 16-year-old juvenile suspect and charge him with Aggravated Assault and Murder. Monday, September 30, 2019, at approximately 11:04 p.m., officers responded to a call for police at the intersection of Fort Worth Avenue and Westmoreland Road regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers were flagged down by a concerned citizen, who was in the Pep Boys parking lot located at 3120 Fort Worth Avenue regarding the call. Upon arrival officers observed a newer model white Dodge Charger parked, and the driver slumped over in the driver’s side seat. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and pronounced the victim, Frederick Denavel Ford, an 18-year old black male, deceased at the scene. The victim died from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
