Protest Downtown Dallas

Safiya Paul a black female 31 years old was arrested for penal code violation Obstruction of Highway or Passageway which is a misdemeanor B offense.  She has been released from Dallas County Jail on a $500.00 bond.

Demonstrators assembled on the steps of the Frank Crowley Courts building at 6:30 p.m. Protesters began marching in the street and blocking traffic in all directions at Riverfront and Commerce. Warnings were given and police response teams were called to the scene. Eventually, they cleared the roadway and began to march through the streets in downtown Dallas. Due to safety concerns, the protesters were warned several times to clear the roadway. Protesters eventually marched back to Frank Crowley Courthouse at approximately 10:00 pm. One individual was arrested.
