Homicide on J.J. Lemmon Road

On Thursday, August 1, 2019, at 10:58 a.m., Dallas police responded to a call for service regarding a body found in a wooded area next to a creek at 6700 JJ Lemmon Road. The wooded area is next to the Amazon Fulfillment Center. Due to the body being severely decomposed, the Dallas County. Medical Examiner’s office field agent was unable to determine the race and sex of the human remains.

On Wednesday, September 4, 2019, the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office determined identified the remains as those of Jeremy Trevon Tinsley, a 27-year old Black male and ruled that he died from homicidal violence.
