On November 17, 2019, at approximately 12:50 a.m., Dallas Police officers responded to a shooting call at 1700 California Crossing. Upon arrival, they located an 18-year-old Latin female, Natalya Salmon, who had suffered gunshot wounds and was unresponsive. Dallas Fire Rescue responded and pronounced her deceased at the scene. Witnesses stated that the victim was in a vehicle parked in the unpaved parking lot of the LB Houston Trailhead with two other individuals when a 2010-2014 tan Chevrolet Tahoe, with dark tint, lifted suspension, black rims, and all-terrain tires, pulled into the parking lot. Four Latin male suspects exited the vehicle and began firing at the victim and the other two individuals. The suspects then fled in their vehicle Eastbound on California Crossing. The other two individuals with the victim did not sustain any serious injuries. The next of kin has been notified.
