On November 19, 2019, at approximately 5:12 p.m., Dallas police responded to 8124 Forest Lane regarding a shooting.  The victim, Erick Blakely, a 43-year-old Black male, was shot and transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.  Two Black male suspects were observed running from the location and getting on a DART train.  After a suspect description was broadcast over the police radio, Devonte Miles, a 27-year-old Black male, was taken into custody.  The second suspect remains at-large.  Anyone with information regarding this offense or the identity of the second suspect is encouraged to contact Detective Jacob White, #7682 at 214-283-4825 or jacob.white@dallacityhall.com.  Please refer to case #233609-2019
