On December 10, 2019, at approximately 10:09 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting at 8149 Southwestern Blvd.  A Papa John’s Pizza delivery driver was attempting to deliver food when two 15-year-old juveniles demanded the driver’s property at gunpoint.  The driver, who has a license to carry permit, produced his own handgun and shot both juveniles.  Both were transported to an area hospital where one died from his injuries.  The second juvenile has been taken into custody for aggravated robbery.  He has non-life-threatening injuries.

Through the course of the investigation, Detectives spoke with witnesses and interviewed the driver. After examining the totality of the evidence and interviews, the driver was released.  This case will be referred to the Dallas County Grand Jury.
