On December 22, 2019, at approximately 2:50 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at 4800 Village Fair Drive. Witnesses reported that a large crowd of people had just left a holiday party at the location when multiple suspects began shooting at each other in the parking lot. The victim, Nikel Perkins, a 25-year-old black female, was struck by stray gunfire and killed.
