Update 12/23/2019 at 4:30 p.m.: The driver of the Ford Mustang is identified as Dallas Police Officer Joseph George, #11101. He is a four year veteran of the department and assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division. He remains in critical condition. We are still looking for the driver of the 2 door Suzuki.

On December 22, 2019, at approximately 1:38 p.m., a black Ford Mustang was racing another vehicle eastbound in the 7200 block of E. Mockingbird Lane. Multiple witnesses stated the other vehicle involved was a white 2 door Suzuki, unknown model. Detectives have obtained video footage that confirms witnesses’ statements and believe the suspect’s vehicle to be a white 2 door Suzuki coupe (pictured above). At some point during the race, the black 2015 Ford Mustang lost control, slamming into a tree. The driver suffered major injuries and is in critical condition. The white 2 door Suzuki vehicle fled the location after the accident and was last seen traveling eastbound on Mockingbird Lane.
