The Christmas spirit was in full effect for the department’s furry four legged officers today. The department’s K-9 officers were treated by 8-year-old Adriana Quirós and her family, who are from McKinney, Texas.
Adriana took it upon herself to collect stockings and filled them with dog toys and treats. With the help of her parents, Adriana put together a total of 18 filled stockings. Sixteen of them were given to all of the department’s K-9 officers and two stockings were donated to the McKinney Police Department.
Family friends of the the Quirós family didn’t want the officers to feel left out, so they donated 17 dozen of donuts for the officers to enjoy. Christmas cards were included on each box of donuts to make sure the holiday spirit is shared through the organization.
The Dallas Police Department would like to thank Adriana, her family, and her friends for the generous and kind donation for the K-9 officers.
