Homicide Investigation – 3000 block of Falls Drive

Update January 12, 2020, at 8:50 a.m.

Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that Fernando Mancha, a 22-year-old Latin male, was responsible for the death of victim Patrick Lynn Parks III. On January 12, 2020, he was arrested by the Dallas Police Department’s Southwest Crime Reduction Team and transported to Jack Evans Headquarters to speak with detectives. After being read his Miranda warning, he waived his rights and agreed to speak with detectives. During the interview, Mancha admitted his involvement in this offense. He was placed in jail for murder. His bond will be set by the magistrate. Please see posted affidavit below.

On December 26, 2019, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded to a call for police in the 3000 block of Falls Drive regarding shots fired and people fighting.  Upon officers arrival, they located the victim, Patrick Lynn Parks III a 21-year-old White male, deceased on the sidewalk from a gunshot wound.
