On December 26, 2019, officers responded to a shooting in the 4800 block of Haverwood Lane.  The victim reported that a known male shot him.  The victim reported that he only knew the suspect by a nickname.  The victim was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.  The offense was documented on case number 258130-2019.

During the course of the follow-up investigation the suspect’s identity was found to be Nathaniel Ross a Black male 22 years old.

On January 07, 2020, members of the Gang Unit, North Central Patrol Division Crime Reduction Team and Deployment Unit were patrolling the area of Horizon North Parkway.  While on patrol officers observed Nathaniel Ross walking in the area.  It was known to the officers that Nathaniel Ross had an outstanding Collin County warrant related to a case filed by the Dallas Police Department for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Nathaniel Ross was taken into custody without incident.
