On January 11, 2020, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at the shopping center at 4210 W. Camp Wisdom Road. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, Andre Menefee, a 29-year-old Black male, who had suffered from gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire & Rescue transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Witnesses at the location stated that the victim intervened in an argument between the suspect, described as a black male wearing a red sweatshirt and gray sweatpants, and another individual. The suspect produced a handgun, shot the victim, and then fled on foot.
