Senior Corporal Randy Lancaster Awarded January’s Officer of the Month

On January 23, 2019, Senior Corporal Randy Lancaster, #6024, was awarded January’s Officer of the Month by the Dallas Community Police Awards Committee.  A luncheon ceremony was held in his honor at The Clubs of Prestonwood.

Senior Corporal Lancaster is a 30-year-veteran of the department and is currently assigned to the Dallas Police Department’s Traffic Unit.  His supervisor, Sergeant Fred Fairley, nominated Senior Corporal Lancaster for this award mainly in part of his outstanding work performance and professionalism.

Sergeant Fairley stated, “Senior Corporal Lancaster has always maintained the highest activity among his peers. He is an excellent example of what a motor officer should be.” Senior Corporal Lancaster serves as a greeter at his church and also volunteers as a life coach to church members. Senior Corporal Lancaster has been awarded the Certificate of Merit, life saving bar, police commendation, 10-year perfect attendance award and a 20-year safe driving award.
