On February 21, 2020, at around 12:20 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at 7721 Antoinette Street, the Bella Vida Apartments. Upon arrival, they made contact with the victim, Brannon King, a 31-year-old black male, who had suffered a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital by Dallas Fire and Rescue. Witnesses reported seeing three black males armed with rifles fleeing the area immediately after the shooting in a white Chrysler 200 sedan. On February 24, 2020, the victim succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased.
