Keeping Dallas Safe: Great Team Work Does It Again!!!

On February 28, 2020, at about 12:53 a.m., Dallas officers responded to a robbery call in the 4600 block of Monarch Street.  Upon arrival, officers met with the victims that stated they were approached by three unknown suspects who were armed with two handguns and a shotgun.  The suspects pointed their weapons at the victims and demanded them to lay on the ground with their two small children.  The suspects then took the victims’ property and fled the location in the victims’ vehicle.

A short time later, officers were able to ping one of the victim’s cell phone near the Kiest Boulevard and Polk Street area. Officers assigned to the Central Patrol Division’s CRT/Deployment team went to that area and located the suspects who were still driving the victim’s vehicle in the 1100 block of Kiest Boulevard.  The officers attempted to perform a high-risk traffic stop, but the suspects fled in the vehicle. However, the officers were able to apprehend the suspects at  1038 North Tatum Avenue after a lengthy chase. All five suspects were taken into custody and transported to Jack Evan’s Headquarters to be interviewed by Detectives.  The suspects were then arrested and transported to Lew Sterrett. The suspects that were arrested were Julian Aguilar, Latin male 18-year-old, Valerie Gutierrez, an 18-year-old Latin female, and three juveniles.

In the end, our officers worked together and were able to return the victim’s property and put the bad guys away in jail.  Great team work officers!
