Homicide on N. Ewing Avenue

Update: August 12, 2020

During the investigation, the unknown victim was identified by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office as Cesar Estala-Hernandez, a 28-year old Latin male. Homicide detectives developed a suspect and a murder warrant has been issued for his arrest.  At this time, the suspect is still at-large.

On Sunday, March 1, 2020, at approximately 11:07 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at 610 N. Ewing Ave.  Upon arrival, officers found multiple victims shot at the scene.  Officers observed the victim, a 28-year old Latin male, being pulled out from a silver Ford F-250, and he had multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.  An unidentified victim, a Latin male, was found in a vacant lot lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.  Several minutes later, officers found the victim, a 44-year old Latin male, at a Shell Gas Station with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.  Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and transported all of the victims to an area hospital.  The unidentified victim died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.  The victim’s name will not be released until the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office conducts a fingerprint analysis to confirm his identity.
