The Vice Unit received multiple complaints regarding illicit massage businesses operating in violation of state law at Nagoya Spa, 11252 Harry Hines Boulevard and the Blue Spa, 11181 Denton Drive. An investigation by undercover officers assigned to the Vice and Narcotics Section revealed illegal acts of prostitution were occurring.  Two additional residential apartments located at 10106 Technology Boulevard were discovered to be connected to the illicit massage businesses.

Search warrants were drafted and signed by a magistrate for all four locations. Furthermore, an arrest warrant was obtained for aggravated promotion of prostitution and online promotion of prostitution for suspect Woo Bin SIN, a 46-year-old Asian male, who was located and arrested by officers involved in this operation. An additional warrant for aggravated promotion of prostitution was obtained for suspect Janny Soon HAN, a 48-year-old Asian female. She remains at large.

Members of the Vice Unit and Narcotics Section simultaneously executed all four search warrants at approximately 7:30 a.m., on March 18, 2020.  Between Nagoya and Blue Spas, ten female workers were located within the spas.  All of the female workers were provided with information on how to receive assistance if they want/need to leave the spa, and have a change in lifestyle.  This is an ongoing investigation with the possibility of additional charges being filed.
