Lawrence Darnell Lamont

On Monday, March 16, 2020, at about 3:46 am, the victim, Mohammad Ahmad Mohammad B/M/26, who is homeless, was sleeping in the elevator in the parking garage at 717 Leonard Street.  An unknown suspect entered the elevator and began hitting the victim in the head repeatedly with a rock.  Several witnesses who were also sleeping in the elevator observed the victim being assaulted and dialed 911.  Victim Mohammad was transported to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries on Thursday, March 19, 2020.  During this murder investigation, Dallas Police Homicide detectives determined that Lawrence Darnell Lamont was responsible for the death of the victim, Mohammad.
