Arrest Made: in the Homicide Investigation at 2403 Millmar Drive

On Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call outside the Harry Stone Recreation Center located at 2403 Millmar Drive.  Upon arrival, officers found the unknown victim suffering from gunshot wounds and lying halfway out of the rear driver’s side door of a parked vehicle.  Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and pronounced the unknown victim deceased at the scene.  Dallas Fire-Rescue also transported the suspect Alan Garrido-Hernandez, a 23-year old Latin male, to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Through the course of the murder investigation, detectives determined that the suspect, Garrido-Hernandez was the shooter.  Once released from the hospital, he was transported to the Homicide Unit, where detectives interviewed him.  During the interview, suspect Garrido-Hernandez admitted to the shooting that occurred inside the vehicle during a drug deal gone wrong.  After the interview, he was transported to the Dallas County Jail, where he was charged with Murder.  A Dallas County Magistrate will set suspect Garrido-Hernandez’s bond.   

The victim did not have an ID card on his body; therefore, the Dallas Co. Examiner’s office will attempt to determine his identity through fingerprints analysis.
