On May 17, 2020, at approximately 10:45 p.m., a Dallas Police Officer was performing a traffic stop in the 2700 block of Carpenter Avenue involving a black Mercedes Benz SUV.   An occupant in the SUV reached out the window with a firearm and fired shots towards the officer.  The officer returned fire.  The suspects fled in the vehicle from the location and remain at large.  The suspect vehicle was reported to have a lighted front Mercedes Benz emblem on the front grill when the headlights were on.
