During this murder investigation, Homicide detectives determined that three juveniles were responsible for the killing of the victim, Adarryl Toriano Chaney.  All three juveniles were currently in the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center for a Capital Murder charge regarding the homicide of another victim, Thomas Dewayne Scott, a 43-year old black male, who was killed at 717 Ann Arbor Avenue on case #108613-2020.  Homicide detectives have added an additional Capital Murder charge against the three juveniles who are currently in custody.

On Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at approximately 11:49 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at 4060 Preferred Place.  Officers found the victim, Adarryl Toriano Chaney, a 24-year old black male, sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds.  Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.  The Homicide Unit is asking anyone with information regarding this offense to contact Detective E.
