On July 13, 2020, Aubrey Jernigan, a 31-year-old black male, surrendered himself to the Dallas County Sherriff at Lew Sterrett Jail for the murder of Antron Edmundson on July 4, 2020, at 1228 Reverend CBT Smith Street in Dallas. Jernigan has been charged with murder, a felony of the first degree. His bond will be set by a Dallas County Magistrate.

On July 4, 2020, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Dallas police officers responded to a shooting call at the Eloise Lundy Recreation Center located at 1228 Reverend CBT Smith Street. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Antron Edmundson, a 34-year-old black male, in the parking lot with gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire and Rescue transported the victim to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased by medical staff.
