On Monday, May 11, 2020, 1:32 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at 6808 Lake June Road.  Upon arrival, officers learned the victim, Ernesto Ceballos, a 27-year old Latin male, was shot outside the convenience store parking lot during an Individual Robbery – carjacking.  Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and transported the victim to an area hospital, where he was placed on life support.  Approximately 30 minutes later, a suspect, Frank Cortez, a 20-year old Latin male, was arrested for unrelated charges. 

On Sunday, June 21, 2020, the victim died from his injuries.  Suspect Cortez was charged with Capital Murder on case number 084465-2020.
