Update: June 14, 2021 at 3:33 p.m.

Through the course of the investigation, Jose Mancha-Solis, a 29-year-old Latin male, was identified as the suspect in the murder of a 16-year-old Latin female at 2510 Community Drive on August 15, 2020. An arrest warrant for Mancha-Solis has been issued and he is currently wanted for murder, a felony of the first degree.

Dallas Police are asking that anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Mancha-Solis to contact 911 or Det. Serra with the Dallas Police Department Homicide Unit at (214) 671-4320 or frank.serra@dallascityhall.com. Please reference case #144241-2020.

On August 15, 2020, at 11:43 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting at 2510 Community Drive, the Lakeside Apartments. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a 16-year old Latin female, with a gunshot wound. She was transported to an area hospital by Dallas Fire and Rescue, where she was later pronounced deceased.
