During the investigation, the Homicide Unit determined that Jose Moise Cobos, a 35-year old Latin male, was responsible for the murder of the victim, Alexia Alfaro-Ramos. On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, suspect Cobos was arrested and transported to the Homicide Unit for interview purposes. During the interview, he was read his Miranda warning, and he refused to provide a voluntary statement. After the interview, suspect Cobos was transported to the Dallas County Jail, where he was charged with murder. A Dallas County magistrate will set his bond.

On August 8, 2020, at about 11:50 p.m., the victim, 23-year-old Alexia Alfaro-Ramos was shot and killed at 2610 W. Colorado Boulevard. The suspect is believed to be a white or light-skinned Hispanic male. The suspect fled the location in a black pickup truck, pictured below.
