Farewell to K9 Mirko, Gone But Not Forgotten

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the Dallas Police Department announces the passing of retired  K9 Officer Mirko, #108. K9 Mirko retired in May of 2020 due to an incurable illness. Today, his partner Senior Corporal Armando Dominguez along with colleagues from the Dallas Police Department honored him as he was escorted to the veterinarian to be laid to rest. K9 Mirko had been with the Dallas Police Department for seven years.  K9 Mirko joined the department in 2013 and has assisted his partner in finding critical missing persons as well as catching crime suspects.

Thank you, K9 Mirko for your dedicated service to the department and the community. We know that you will still be watching over us as you cross the Rainbow Bridge. Although you are gone, you will never be forgotten.
